International women’s day is celebrated annually on 8th March to celebrate social,economic,cultural and political achievements of women. In continuation with the Women’s Day celebrations at Narangi Military Station, a “Women Empowerment Seminar” was organised on 20 March at Brahmaputra Hall by Indian Army.
Anupama Jha, Chairperson Family Welfare Organization and 275 army wives of Narangi Military Station attended the seminar.
During the seminar various motivational and empowerment lectures were conducted by speakers which includes lecture by Laxmi, a Special Paralympic participant, L/Nk Sandhya first batch of Women Military Personal and Kiran Singh. During the event winners of walkathon conducted on 8 March were also felicitated along with the speakers.
The purpose of organizing this seminar was to celebrate women’s achievement and motivate army wives of Narangi Military Station.
