On April 27, 2023, the 54 Battalion under the South Bengal Frontier of the Border Security Force (BSF) organized a civic action program at the Shankar Mission Orphanage located in Krishnanagar town of Nadia district. The program aimed to provide assistance and support to the orphans and make their lives better.
As part of the initiative, the BSF jawans distributed a significant amount of sports material, including tables and chairs to the orphan children. The material distributed by BSF brought smiles to the faces of the orphans and guardians of orphanage also expressed their gratitude towards the organization for its generous initiative.
The Commanding Officer of the 54 Battalion expressed his pride in the BSF jawans for their continuous dedication and efforts to maintain security and cooperation in the hearts of the border residents. He also highlighted that BSF is not only responsible for the protection of the borders but is also committed to serving the community by helping the helpless.
