International Labour Day celebrated at Royal Global University

The Royal Knowledge Park celebrated Labour Day with pomp and show. A cultural program and health camp was organized by Royal Global School and Royal Global University, followed by lunch as a humble gesture to offer our gratitude to the staff who have invested unmatchable dedication and hard work to place the institutes at the zenith currently in. Following the lamp-lighting ceremony, the stage was graced by a number of cultural performances, including Khasi chorus, solo songs, a Bengali group dance and a Bihu dance, presented by the sub-staff.

This program ended with the Principal of Royal Global School performing the evergreen Bhupen Hazarika song ‘Manure Manuhor babe’ along with two dancers, a flute artist and an on-the-spot painting by the school Art Teacher, Mr. Lakshyajit Bora, depicting ‘togetherness’-the theme of the song thorough his painting.

Dr.Rohit Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor delivered the Welcome Address, throwing light on the importance of the grassroot workers of any organization across the world while also highlighting the hard work invested by them to place organisations and institutions like the Royal Knowledge Park on the map. The event was also graced by Prof. (Dr.) Ankur Ganguly, Dean-Academics, Royal Global University Sanjay Tiwari, the Principal of Royal Global School, Ms. Binita Jain, the Vice Principal of Royal Global School, Sikha Modi Pansari, and  Harsha Pansari, lit the auspicious lamp to begin the programme.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology (RSMAS) and the RGU NSS unit held a free health examination camp for the sub-staff inclusive of several tests- blood pressure, blood sugar, artillery count, blood group determination, weight, etc. This was followed by a scrumptious lunch at Royal Dhaba.
