A permanent high mast Tricolour flag was hoisted on monday evening on the premises of PWD office at the heart of Margherita town.
During the time of inauguration Union minister for petroleum, Natural gas,labour and employment Rameshwar Teli, Margherita MLA Bhaskar, Digboi MLA Suren Phukan and many distinguished and resource persons were present.
Rameshwar Teli said the Indian Oil Corporation ltd(IOCL) have spent over Rs 12 lakh on the construction of permanent high mast Tricolour flag and have written to Margherita Municipal Board to maintain it.
At New Delhi there is permanent high mast Tricolour flag which I have decided that at Dibrugarh Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency which I represent there are total 9 Legislative Assembly constituency and I decided that at each constituency to construct a permanent high mast Tricolour flag which on monday the citizens of 124 no. Margherita Constituency got it at the heart of Margherita Town said Rameshwar Teli.
