Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on Sunday participated in the Rabindra Jayanti celebrations of Bengali Higher Secondary School of Paltanbazar.
The Bengali Higher Secondary School is one of the oldest Schools in Assam which was established in 1936.
In a tweet education minister of Assam Ranoj Pegu informed,”Participated in the Rabindra Jayanti celebrations of Bengali Higher Secondary School (Estd 1936) at Paltan Bazar, Guwahati. I commend the initiative of the school’s Alumni Association to dedicate a computer lab and a school bus for the students. Also, thank Assam Linguistic Minority Development Board (ALMDB) for granting ₹ 50 lakh for further development of the school. Eminent social worker Padmasri Ajay Dutta, ALMDB Chairman & others joined.”
