177TH RAKSHA PENSION SAMADHAN AAYOJAN (RPSA) CONDUCTED AT SILIGURI

Indian Army Trishakti Corps in collaboration with the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension), Prayagraj carried out an outreach programme for Army Veterans, Veer Nari’s and other dependents drawing Defence Pensions at Bengdubi Military Station on 29 & 30 May 2023. The event was aimed at identifying and resolving anomalies in pensions being drawn by Veterans, Veer Nari’s and Widows hailing from Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Malda, North & South Dinajpur Districts of West Bengal, Katihar District of Bihar and Gangtok in Sikkim.

This outreach programme, earlier known as Defence Pension Adalat, now renamed as Raksha Pension Samadhan Ayojan (RPSA), is periodically carried out by PCDA (Pension) in coordination with local military authorities all over the country. The current outreach, carried out at Bengdubi Military Station, is the 177th RPSA being held for the benefit of veterans and their extended families. The Local Military Commander, Bengdubi Military Station in his address exhorted all Veterans, Veer Nari’s and Widows to make use of RPSA outreach opportunity at doorstep to resolve their pending pension related issues.

During the 177th RPSA, the PCDA (Pension) team of officers led by Shri Sham Dev, IDAS, Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension) interacted personally with each Veteran, Veer Nari and Widow who reached the venue with pension anomalies, and processed their cases for early resolution. More than 900 Veterans, Veer Nari’s, Widows and other entitled Defence Pensioners participated in the 177th RPSA programme. The participants expressed their satisfaction and appreciation for the outreach which was aimed at their welfare. Indian Army is always committed to look after the Ex Servicemen who served the Nation with pride.
