This significant day serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to protect and preserve our planet for the future generation. Project Vartak recognises the importance of the day and contributed by organising a tree plantation drive led by Brig Raman Kumar SV, Chief Engineer and all ranks of Project Vartak. All ranks also took a pledge to save environment and ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’.
The Chief Engineer also visited “DARPAN”, Old Age Home, at Tezpur and interacted with the elders and enquired about their health and well –being. While visiting “DARPAN” Old Age Home the Chief Engineer appreciated Society of Darpan for its humanitarian service provided to the elderly. He said that the service provided by the society is very encouraging and praiseworthy example of human compassion. During the visit, essential items for utility by the old age Home were also presented. The Chief Engineer further stated that charity is a supreme virtue and a great channel to build human relationship with our deeds.
