Amidst urgent need of basic health care arising due to ongoing turbulence in Manipur, Indian Army in a joint effort with Bishupur District Administration and Medical Authorities, based on request from Peace Committee members and Ex Servicemen organised a Medical Camp at Phubala on 16 June 2023 and extended medical care for the inmates of three Relief Camps at Phubala.
The integrated Medic team of 05 Army doctors & 06 Cvil Specialists Doctors (Ophthalmologist, Pediatrician, Male Obstetrician, Orthopedic & USG, Psychiatrist/ Psychologist) extended help in terms of free medical consultation, treatment and medicines provisioning to address multiple ailment and health care issues of the patients.
Initiative of Medical Camp has benefited 300 Patients including 151 Women and 78 Childrenof various relief camps of Phubala. The efforts of doctors were highly appreciated by the locals and people from the relief camps. The continued effort of Indian Army remains to its commitment of extending best possible all round assistance to the needy people in this critical hour in Manipur.
