Two days training programme of National Children Science Congress organized by Assam State Technological and Environmental Council held in Karimganj College

Two days training program was completed at Karimganj College on 20th and 21st June. The program was run by NCSC Karimganj President and Associate Professor of Karimganj College, Dr. Partha Sarathi Das. He was accompanied by NCSC District Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Karimganj College Shri Gadapani Sharma, District Academic Coordinator Suraj Kumar Kanoo and Member of NCSC Assam Pradesh and Assistant Professor of Karimganj College Dr. Sujit Tewari.
At the inaugural session Dr. Partha Sarathi Das gave the welcome address and highlighted the significance of the training programme. He advised today’s children to be scientific minded. Then Dr. Jayanta Kumar Sharma talked about the significance of the National Children’s Science Congress and the training session.
Everyone from the dias in the training session highlighted the importance of NCSC for the children through their speeches. NCSC is a platform through which children can learn how to prepare themselves scientific minded in the right direction. Because they believe that today’s children are the future scientists of the country.
 This two days program was organized under the initiative of Assam Science Technology and Environment Council, Government of Assam.
Aamong the instructors, Dr. Jayanta Kumar Sharma, National Academic Committee, Dr. Sudip Chowdhury, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Assam University and Member of NCSC State Academic Committee, Sandeep Bhattacharya, Assistant State Coordinator, NCSC, Dr. Sanjeev Barman, Department of ENT, Silchar Medical College and Dr. Arunjyoti Nath, Associate Professor, Department of Environmental Science and Ecology were present.
They trained all resource persons came from different districts. In the technical and training sessions  sub themes were know your ecosystems; Fostering Health, Nutrition and Well-being; Social and Cultural Practices for Ecosystem and Health; Ecosystem based approach (EBA) for selfreliance; and  Technological Innovations for Ecosystems and Health under focal theme Understanding Ecosystem for health and well-being.
Resource persons from four different districts namely Karimganj, Cachar, Dima Hasao, Hailakandi participated in the 2-day training session. Assistant District Coordinator of NCSC Karimganj, Gaurav Roy; Dr. Abhijit Dutta; Satyapriya Das; Vice President of NCSC Karimganj Sourav Sen, Biprajit Dey were present from Karimganj district. Rimi Barman, Kanika Brahma were present from Hailakandi district. Saikatendu Dev Roy, Pallab Kanti Dey, Arindam Roy, Ananya Dutta were present from Cachar district. From Dima Hasao district Srijana Thapa, Uday Nirola, Munni Pal, Ranit Dey were present in the two days training session.
Principal of Karimganj College Dr. Ramanuj Chakraborty was present as chief guest on the last day of the program. He highlighted the importance and necessity of NCSC through his speech. At the end of the program, he distributed certificates among the participants of the training. At last district president Dr. Partha Sarathi Das thorough his vote of thanks speech concluded the programme.
