Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati will be celebrating its Twenty Fifth Convocation on Tuesday, 4th July 2023, in the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar as the Chief Guest.
Chief Guest will be accompanied by the Guests of Honour, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Assam, and Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam, along with other dignitaries.
The first convocation of IIT Guwahati was held in 1999 where 63 students were conferred their degrees. In the last 25 years 20000+ students have graduated from IIT Guwahati. This year the Institute will mark its Convocation Silver Jubilee advancing Science and Technology through enhancement of knowledge and performing cutting-edge research where 1990 students will be graduating in the presence of their families, faculty, staff and other dignitaries.
