Aditya L1 Launch Successfully , PM Modi to Annand Mahindra congratulates ISRO

On Saturday India successfully launched Aditya 1 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota at 11.50 AM.

Aditya-L1 started generating the power. The solar panels are deployed.The first EarthBound firing to raise the orbit is scheduled for September 3, 2023, around 11:45 Hrs. IST in a post on X ISRO informed it.

ISRO’s trusted PSLV will carry the Aditya L1 mission on a 125-day voyage to the Sun.

It will travel 1.5 million km (932,000 miles) from the Earth – 1% of the Earth-Sun distance.

If this mission of ISRO is successful then India will be the first Asian nation to be placed in solar orbit.

On the successful launch of Aditya L-1, ISRO Chairman S Somanath said on September 2, “The Aditya L1 spacecraft has been injected in an elliptical orbit…which is intended very precisely by the PSLV.”

ISRO Chairmen also said, ” I want to congratulate the PSLV for such a different mission approach today to put Aditya L1 in the right orbit.”

In a post on ‘X’, PM Narendra Modi said,”After the success of Chandrayaan-3, India continues its space journey. Congratulations to our scientists and engineers at @isro for the successful launch of India’s first Solar Mission, Aditya -L1. Our tireless scientific efforts will continue in order to develop better understanding of the Universe for the welfare of entire humanity.”

 

Mahindra Group chairman Annand Mohindra post on ‘X’, “Don’t fly too close to the Sun” comes from the Greek legend of Icarus who flew fatally near the sun, & is used to describe TOO MUCH ambition. Thanks to @Isro :“Let’s fly close to the Sun” will mean that we should lift our ambitions even HIGHER.”
