Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) org a wreath laying ceremony on 05 Sep 2023 for JC-45532 Nb Sub/GD (Late) LB Thapa, G/47833 Rfn/GD (Late) CB Darjee, G/47131 Nk/GD (Late) Chandra Bahadur Sarki of 4 Assam Rifles who made the supreme sacrifice during an ambush on the Patrolling party at Mao-Tadubi Road Imphal (Manipur) on 05 Sep 1970. While retaliating the insurgent fire , the above comrades sustained gunshot wounds and succumbed to their injuries while foiling the attack.
