Acting on specific intellgence on presence of War Like Stores, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Special Operations Group(SOG), Thoubal launched a search operation in general area Haokhong in Thoubal district of Manipur on 19 Sept 23.
On arrival at the said location, teams of Assam rifles along with SOG started extensive search and recovered one 9mm Carbine Machine Gun, one Single Barrel Rifle, three Hand Grenades and war like stores from the foothills of Haokhong near Irong village.
