The Assam Rifles took a significant step towards promoting oral health by organizing a Dental Checkup Camp and an informative lecture on oral hygiene on 21st September 23 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyala, Khumbong ,Imphal west district of Manipur. The event aimed to educate and empower students and their families to give importance to their dental health.
The Assam Rifles provided dental checkups for students wherein a total of 440 students & teachers benefitted through this event. An early diagnosis and preventive care is crucial in maintaining good oral health, and this camp ensured that students receive the necessary attention.
In addition to the checkup camp, an engaging lecture on oral hygiene was delivered where the students learned about proper dental care practices, the importance of regular checkups, and the role of nutrition in maintaining healthy teeth and gums. Post lecture the principal of JNV expressed the desire of the faculty and the students for more such valuable sessions to the representatives of Assam Rifles.
In a similar community effort in Churachandpur on 20 September 2023, Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (S) distributed medicines & provided water to the displaced people of Youth Hostel Relief Camp.
Assam Rifles has been a forerunner in extending help to society and providing aid to civil authorities in the times of crisis wherein they approached the Relief Camp authorities for the urgent necessities of the residents and then proceeded to distribute medicines & also refilled the water tanks for the displaced people of Youth Hostel Relief Camp, Churachandpur. A total of 525 displaced civilians benefitted from this proactive activity of The Assam Rifles.
