Assam Rifles, under the aegis of the Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), played a pivotal role in saving precious lives during a fire incident that occurred in Village Songdai, Churachandpur district, on 01st October 2023.
Assam Rifles, operating under the IGAR (South), responded promptly at approximately 1900 Hrs on 01 October 2023, to an intense fire outbreak in a residential building at Songdai Village. The firefighting team immediately sprang into action with all the necessary equipments, successfully saving the lives of over 47 individuals. They managed to contain the fire within the storage area, preserving the house and its contents.
