Security forces foiled a major cross border smuggling attempt in Kamjong District of Manipur on 05 Oct 2023 when 531 bags of Areca Nuts valued at Rs 5.916 crores loaded in eleven Shaktiman trucks alongwith eleven individuals were seized in General Area Shangka Lok Track Junction.
The apprehended individuals along with the seized items and vehicles were handed over to Forest Department, Kamjong for further legal proceedings.
