Indian Army continues search for balance missing Army personnel. Food, Medical aid and Mobile communication being provided to locals and 1500 tourists stranded at Chungthang, Lachung and Lachen, North Sikkim.
Army helpline working 24×7 and relatives of all tourists intimated to inform about well being. Stranded tourists and locals requested to approach nearest army unit for any assistance.
Indian army doctors providing medical aid to tourists & locals at Lachung, Chatten, Thangu and Chungthang in North Sikkim, over 1000 persons provided with medical aid so far.
Army is making all efforts for rescue of the balance missing soldiers and recovery of vehicles and stores. Special radar, drones and Army Dogs have been employed.
