Under the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” Program, International Girl Child Day was celebrated with the girls of Government Middle School, Pedung (Vibrant) Village, today at SSB ground. The event was organized by the CDPO of the Urban ICDS Project in collaboration with SSB and District ICDS, Bomdila.
The program saw the presence of several distinguished guests, including the DIG of SSB, DDSE, DMM (ArSLM), DTO (Agri), CDPO, faculty members of Government Middle School, Pedung, SSB Jawans, officials of the WCD, AWWs/AHWs, and women from Pedung Village.
The highlights of the day included role-plays on the first 1000 days of a child’s life by AWWs/AWHs, a Sweet Race, a Blindfolded Hit game, and a Musical Chair competition, which added excitement to the event. Prizes were awarded to the winning girls.
