A unity run will be conducted all across Army’s Eastern Command , to commemorate the 140th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Every year the nation celebrates Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti as National Unity Day (Ekta Diwas) on this date.
The run will be conducted at five locations, i.e Kolkata(West Bengal),Rangia (Assam), Misamari (Assam), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Misa cantonment (Assam) and Kakinara (West Bengal). A healthy participation by Army persons and their families is expected in the event.
