Tezpur University has been ranked in 1001-1050 bracket in overall sustainability performance by the prestigious QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024.
The Rankings used a methodology comprised of indicators designed to measure an institution’s ability to tackle the world’s greatest environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges.
The ranking, which was released on December 05, features nearly 1,400 universities from around the world.
Tezpur University has also been awarded Rank 647 in Environmental Impact category, Rank 681 in Environmental Sustainability category, Rank 730 in Governance category and Rank 799 in Environmental Education category.
Further, Tezpur University has been ranked in the categories Employability & Opportunities, Equality, Health & Well-being, Impact of Education, Knowledge Exchange and Overall performance for Social Impact.
Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University expressed his happiness on the efforts that led to featuring the University on the prestigious list and urged all stakeholder to continue their best efforts.
From Northeast India only Tezpur University and Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, (1001-1050) has featured in the rankings.
