On 12th January 2024, an awareness program on the subject of “Human Trafficking, Child Sexual Abuse, Exploitation and Co-ordination, Child labour, Gender Violation & Discrimination’ Child Marriage and Misuse of Social Media & its Prevention” was Organized by AHTU, 70 Battalion BSF under South Bengal Frontier with ‘Shakti Vahini’ & ‘Ratua Bajitpur Welfare Society’ NGO at R.M.M.M Vidyapith, Bhaluka, Ratua, Dist- Malda (West Bengal) and AHTU team of 82 Battalion, BSF Organized at Sahabuddin Mandal High school, Patharghata, Dist-Nadiya, West Bengal.
Members of ”Shakti Vahini” & ‘Ratua Bajitpur Welfare Society’ NGO with staff, AHTU Team, 70 Battalion, BSF and 82 Battalion, BSF along with Principal and 32 Teaching Staff with 450 students of R.M.M.M Vidyapith and Head Master and 14 Teaching Staff with 137 Girls students of Sahabuddin Mandal High school took part in the Program.
Principal along with teachers & Students of R.M.M.M vidyapith and Shahabuddin Mandal High school thanked AHTU, BSF and NGO for conducting such activities to promote awareness among the students.
AK Arya, DIG, Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier, emphasized the significance of such programs, underscoring the organization’s unwavering commitment to preventing human trafficking and child crimes. In conjunction with NGOs, the AHTU, and BSF conduct awareness campaigns in various border areas to combat serious offenses like juvenile delinquency, cybercrime, and human trafficking.
