In a demonstration of community engagement, Assam Rifles organised an interaction and distribution of essential stationary and sweets for 40 children (24 girls and 16 boys) of Hnatham Orphanage, Chandel District.
During the interaction Assam Rifles personnel emphasized the significance of education and sports to the children to help them achieve their goals. This initiative not only brought moments of joy to the children but also highlighted Assam Rifles’ dedication to contributing to the upliftment of the local community by positive engagement.
JOINT OPERATIONS RESULTS IN RECOVERY OF WEAPONS IN MANIPUR
Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area T Lanchah village in Churachandpur District of Manipur, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a Joint Cordon and Search Operation on 11 March 2024. In the operation the security forces recovered two AK-47 Rifle, and one INSAS Rifle both with their magazines. The recovered items have been handed over to Police.
ASSAM RIFLES DISTRIBUTES RELIEF MATERIALS AND ORGANISES A MEDICAL CAMP AT SONGDO, CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a Relief Distribution and Medical Camp at Songdo for inhabitants of various relief camps of Churachandpur district, Manipur.
The relief camp inhabitants face difficulties due to scarcity of basic amenities and medical facilities. In recognition of these needs the subject camp was organised to provide solace to the camp inhabitants during these difficult times. A total of around 30 families were provided relief material consisting of supplies and utensils and they also underwent basic medical checkups.
The families expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the unwavering support by the Assam Rifles during the challenging times.
