Commandos of National Security Guard (NSG) conducted a mock drill at Mahatma Gandhi Road Metro station last night. In order to protect the Metro premises from any chemical, terrorist or other attacks/threats this mock drill was conducted. In such drills, NSG Commandos simulate any such emergency situation and conduct the drills to tackle it and rescue passengers unhurt in the shortest possible time from Metro stations, tunnels or viaduct.
For conducting this drill, a power block was taken and a Medha rake was used.NSG Commandos reached the station and took the control of it and simulated the drill.
This drill started around last midnight and continued for hours.
It is to be noted that National Security Guard has conducted such drills earlier also in the Metro premises to check their preparedness and sharpen the skills to rescue passengers and nab the perpetrators.
