ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED THIRD BATCH OF FREE TUITION CLASSES FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN OF KOMLAKHONG VILLAGE, IMPHAL WEST ,MANIPUR
Assam Rifles organised the Third batch of free tuition classes for underprivileged children of Komlakhong village at Assam Rifles Camp, Komlakhong, (Manipur) starting from 06 May 2024.
The tuition classes for Hindi language are being organised daily with a view to enhance the linguistic skills of the children and also impart quality education to the local children for pursuing their studies in these tiring times. A total of 22 children of age group 10-15 years are attending the tuition classes from the neighbouring villages. The classes will be conducted over a period of 2 months after the school hours. The daily interaction also provides a platform for Assam Rifles to effectively engage with the underprivileged children of the neighbouring villages and understand the problems that they are facing in this challenging situation due to the ongoing conflict resulting in irregular classes and tenuous schedule in schools.
ASSAM RIFLES PERSONNEL DONATED BLOOD DONATION FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCY CASE IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles personnel donated blood for an emergency medical case at District hospital at Churachandpur on 08 May 2024.
Two volunteers from Assam Rifles donated 02 units of blood on emergent requirement basis to save the life of critical cases at district hospital Churachandpur.
Both Assam Rifles and District Hospital Churachandpur authorities have resolved to work together to address the health issues in remote parts of the district.
ASSAM RIFLES CARRIED OUT TREE PLANTATION AND SECURITY MEET IN MANIPUR
In view of upcoming World Environment Day, Assam Rifles carried out a tree plantation drive at JB School, Gothol village, Churachandpur district on 08 May 2024. The plantation drive was organised to motivate the school children for understanding the need of planting trees and saving the Environment.
The school principal and staff equally supported the initiative and actively participated in planting the trees. The initiative has motivated the young school children and locals in being more aware about the balance of environment and ways to sustain it.
The Principal and the staff expressed deep gratitude for the initiative by the Assam Rifles for educating and motivating the young children in saving the Environment.
On the same day at Hengkot village, Assam organised a Security Meet with village council, attended by five village chiefs and ten villagers. The discussion was focused on cooperation and coordination with the security forces, gaining public trust in efforts of Assam Rifles to maintain peace and stability, steering the youth towards national and societal development, and nurturing peace in view of the tense security situation in the state.
The village committee shared their experiences, views and challenges and resolved for an early solution to the ongoing violence.
