To commemorate the International Nurses Day, a special interaction was carried out followed by cake cutting ceremony symbolizing appreciation for the invaluable contributions of nurses across the globe.
The gesture of acknowledging the services, sacrifices and commitment by Assam Rifles reflects the very motive of “we share- we care”.
ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL MOTHER’S DAY AT KAKCHING, SAJIK, JOUPI AREA AND KHANGTUNG VILLAGE, CHANDEL DISTRICT
In connection with the International Mother’s Day, a celebration to honour the resilience and determination of mothers was organised by Assam Rifles at Phundrei Village of Thoubal district, Manipur under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (South). The function saw enthusiastic participation from the local women of Phundrei village.
63 mothers along with 70 odd children attended the event. The nobility and struggles of Motherhood was discussed in an informative lecture conducted as part of the function. Following the lecture, various fun games and competitions were conducted which saw active participation from the all the mothers present. Winners of the games were felicitated suitably.
At Sajik Tampak, Mother Day was celebrated with the mothers of Kana Area, Sajik Valley wherein 68 mothers of Kana Area had joined the celebration. Village authorities of Phundrei & Sajik Valley appreciated this thoughtful gesture and expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Assam Rifles for their unwavering dedication to the society.
In Khangtung Village (near Indo-Myanmar Border), Chandel District, Assam Rifles Company Operating Base, Changpol conducted a lecture on “Women Empowerment” on this occasion. 50 women alongwith youths were present for the lecture, wherein the importance and the role of mothers in the society was explained alongwith encouraging them towards empowerment and the available mediums for the same.
The Village Authorities as well as the women present appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles for conducting such an informative and motivating lecture for the women.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED COMMUNITY MEAL AT BORDER VILLAGES OF KAMJONG DISTRICT
Assam Rifles showcased its steadfast dedication to unity and community betterment by organizing community meal for children and families in border villages like Phaikoh, Kongkhan, Aishi, and Nampisha, with an aim to know the residents in own Area of responsibility better .This initiative also allowed families and children to share a meal with deployed personnel, fostering a platform for heartfelt interaction.
Additionally, informative sessions were held on career advancement, health, fitness, and skill development for local residents. The troops’ participation in Sunday church services further emphasized their commitment to community engagement, strengthening bonds with the locals.
The civilians and village authorities expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for the program, pledging their unwavering support to the Security Forces.
