ASSAM RIFLES FELICITATES LOCAL VILLAGER’S ASCENT TO ASSISTANT COMMANDANT, INSPIRING MANIPUR YOUTH

On 22 June, Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) organised a felicitation ceremony to honour a local villager’s journey from Rifleman to Assistant Commandant, inspiring the youth in Leisanbung Village, Churachandpur District, Manipur.

Assam Rifles celebrated a local villager’s remarkable achievement in ascending to the esteemed rank of Assistant Commandant. This heartfelt ceremony was aimed to inspire and motivate the region’s youth to pursue careers in Assam Rifles. The event highlighted the officer’s journey from humble beginnings as a Rifleman to his current position, demonstrating the opportunities available within Assam Rifles. Over 200 locals, including villagers, local leaders, and youth, attended the event, drawn by the officer’s inspiring story.

Assam Rifles emphasized their support and opportunities for career progression, encouraging the younger generation to follow similar paths. The event served as a catalyst for change, sparking ambition and fostering a spirit of determination among local youths.
