Under the aegis of IGAR (South), Assam Rifles conducted a solemn wreath-laying ceremony to honor Rifleman (General Duty) Top Bahadur Chhetri, who made the ultimate sacrifice on 12 July 1961. Rifleman Chhetri was fatally wounded during a firefight with underground elements at Akhileto village, Zunubhoto (Nagaland), ultimately succumbing to his injuries.
