Several trains have been diverted or cancelled after at least five coaches of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed near Gonda, Uttar Pradesh.
As per information received from North Eastern Railway, there are 2 death and 8 injuries as of now as a result of the derailment.
The following trains are being run through diverted route.
1. 15707 Katihar- Amritsar Amrapali Express
2. 15603 Guwahati – Jammu Tawi Amarnath Express
3. 15910 Lalgarh – Dibrugarh Avadh Assam Express
The stranded passengers of the derailed train are being brought by bus to Mankapur station near Gonda.
A special train has been arranged for them from Mankapur to Dibrugarh with stoppages enroute.
