Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area Mongbung Ridge, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation on 2 July 2024 and recovered one Bolt action Improvised 303 Rifle, two Bolt action 303 Rifles, two 12 Bore Single Barrel Rifles, four grenades, One Long Range improvised Mortar (Pompi), and war like stores. The recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police.
