ASSAM RIFLES SAVES ACCIDENT VICTIMS AND PROVIDES IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AT GAMNOUM VILLAGE IN UKHRUL DISTRICT, MANIPUR

The Assam Rifles stationed at Shangshak in the Ukhrul district of Manipur demonstrated exemplary service by providing critical assistance in the aftermath of a road accident. On 27 July 2024 at 12:45 PM a civilian Bolero vehicle tumbled off the road, falling into a depression adjacent to the roadway near Gamnoum village of Ukhrul District. Upon receiving news of the accident, the Assam Rifles troops swiftly mobilized to reach the accident site and promptly rescued the passengers trapped inside the overturned vehicle. The injured individuals were immediately evacuated from the accident site and transported to the unit hospital of the Shangshak battalion, where the Assam Rifles medical team were on standby. The medical team delivered urgent care and treatment to all seven passengers, stabilizing their conditions and providing the necessary emergency medical support.

The timely intervention and efficient medical response by the Assam Rifles were crucial in ensuring the well-being of the accident victims. The local community and the passengers of the vehicle expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation for the assistance provided by the Assam Rifles. They praised the troops for their quick action and compassionate care, which prevented further harm and ensured a swift recovery for the injured.

In their expressions of thanks, the local residents assured the Security Forces of their continued support and cooperation, highlighting the strong bond between the military personnel and the local community. This incident not only underscored the vital role of the Assam Rifles in providing security and aid but also reinforced the mutual respect and solidarity between the forces and the people they protect.

ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATES 86th CRPF RAISING DAY IN MANIPUR

In a heartwarming display of camaraderie, Assam Rifles joined their fellow troops of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in celebrating their 86th Raising Day at Sangaithel, Manipur. The day was commemorated with greetings, best wishes, and a shared cup of tea between the two forces.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was established in 1939 to tackle the threats of internal security and conduct anti-Naxal operations, making it the largest central armed police force in India.

Assam Rifles, the oldest paramilitary force in India, took this opportunity to strengthen their bond with the CRPF, recognizing the tireless efforts of their fellow troops in maintaining peace and security in the strife torn Manipur.

ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED FRIENDLY VOLLEYBALL MATCH AT VILL YANGOUBUNG ON 27 JULY 2024

In its ongoing commitment to the youths of Community, Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) organised a friendly volleyball match with the youths of village Yangoubung, Tegnoupal District on 27 July 2024. This event marked a significant step towards encouraging sports and games to the border villages of the district.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the village. A refreshment was also organised for the players and villagers after the event. Over 40 villagers were witnessed the event.

The local populace expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles as it facilitated a platform for the sports persons and sports loving people of the village.
