Manu Bhaker won a historic bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event at the Paris Olympics, marking India’s first medal of the Games.

This achievement makes her the first Indian woman to win an Olympic shooting medal, ending a 12-year drought for India in this discipline.

Bhaker finished with a score of 221.7 in the final, narrowly missing silver by just 0.1 points.

The gold medal was claimed by South Korea’s Jin Ye Oh, who set a new Olympic record.

Meanwhile, India’s Arjun Babuta and Ramita Jindal also raised  medal hopes by qualifying for the Men’s and Women’s 10m Air Rifle finals.
