Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area of Waithou Ridge, Thoubal District of Manipur, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a search operation on and on 10 August 2024 and recovered one MA Mk ll AK 47 modified rifle, One Single Barrel Rifle, Two 9mm Pistol, Ten Grenades, ammunition and war like stores. The recovered items have been handed over to the Manipur Police.
