Assam Rifles organized a series of events under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign on the occasion of 78th Independence Day at various locations across Manipur on 13th August 2024.
In Tengnoupal District Assam Rifles joined hands with the locals to commemorate the campaign at the remote villages of Sita, Khudenthabi and Kwatha. An informative lecture was delivered to educate students about the significance and importance of Independence Day and highlighting the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the nation’s journey of independence. National flags were distributed among the students and villagers and the events successfully fostered a sense of responsibility towards the nation among the attendees, promoting national pride and unity.
In a similar vein the Assam Rifles organized a Tiranga Bike Rally at Keithalmanbi Garrison in Manipur to commemorate India’s 78th Independence Day. As part of the celebrations, 45 serving soldiers of the Assam Rifles participated in the event, displaying their patriotism and commitment to the nation.
At Lilong village of Thoubal District, Assam Rifles distributed National Flags to the villagers and then marched hand in hand with the locals holding the National Flag flying high symbolizing National pride as well as camaraderie. 43 Assam Rifles personnel and 30 villagers participated in the event.
Also, a Run for Unity was organized by Assam Rifles alongwith the village authorities at Shangshak village of Ukhrul district of Manipur. A total of 52 enthusiastic youths actively participated in the run. The youth were also emphasised about the need for physical fitness and how it can contribute positively towards Nation building.
