Based on a specific intelligence regarding the move of Insurgents along the Taret River near the Indo-Myamar Border (IMB), a joint operation of Assam Rifles and Manipur police launched on 14th August 2024 resulted in the apprehension of four KYKL cadres. The apprehended cadres were handed over to the police for investigation.
JOINT OPERATION RESULTS IN RECOVERY OF ARMS AND AMMUNITION IN MANIPUR
Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area Khopijang, Near Serou village of Kakching District, Manipur, Assam Rifles, BSF and Manipur Police launched an operation on 14 Aug 24 and recovered two Pompi, two single barrel rifles, one country made rifle, grenades, ammunition and war like stores. The recovered cache have been handed over to Manipur Police.
