The Indian Super League (ISL) today announced the inclusion of Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC), as the newest member of the Indian Super League (ISL).
Starting from the 2024-25 season, Mohammedan SC, one of the oldest active football clubs in the nation will compete in the top tier of Indian football, bringing the total number of clubs in the ISL to 13. This promotion follows their triumphant 2023-24 I-League title-winning campaign, making them the second club after Punjab FC to earn promotion to the ISL.
Indian Super League is India’s premier professional football league which is organised by Football Sports Development Limited, under the aegis of All India Football Federation. Launched in 2014, ISL has revolutionised football in India, and Indian football globally over the past decade. A thirteen-team contest starting 2024-25, Indian Super League has been able to reignite the passion for football across India, with representation of Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC, FC Goa, Hyderabad FC, Jamshedpur FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Mumbai City FC, NorthEast United FC, Odisha FC, Punjab FC along with three iconic Kolkata clubs of over 100 year legacy – Mohun Bagan Super Giant, East Bengal FC and Mohammedan SC.
