Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in fringe areas of Kakching district, Manipur Indian Army, Assam Rifles, BSF and Manipur Police launched an operation on 28 August 2024 and recovered one Sten Machine Gun , two 9mm Pistols, two single barrel guns, ten Grenades, ammunition and war like stores. The recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police.
