Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) organised distribution of hockey kits to Don Bosco School, Lamphou Pasana Village, Chandel, Manipur on 18 September 2024.
The event was organised to promote the National sport amongst the students of Don Bosco School.
The event emphasised the importance of sports and physical activity in overall well being, mental health and physical fitness.
Children were briefed on the enduring legacy of Maj Dhyan Chand, a legendary Hockey player.
The importance of sports was also highlighted in developing self control, discipline, leadership, team work and to foster a spirit of healthy competition.
The sports equipment distributed by the Assam Rifles marks a significant step towards ensuring that every student has an opportunity to grow, learn and excel.
The School and parents thanked the Assam Rifles for the continued support in investing in the future of the students.
