The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) conducted its 93rd Annual General Meeting on Monday in a smooth and befitting manner.
In the 93rd AGM, CAB President Snehashish Ganguly lauded the efforts put in to host a successful World Cup and inaugural Bengal Pro T20 League.
CAB President Ganguly felicitated Mr Abhishek Dalmiya for being re-elected as IPL Governing Council Member. Mr Ganguly also felicitated Mr Vivek Lohia as a new member of Apex Council in place of Ardhendu Kumar Ghosh.
“I would like to stress on the fact that we were able to host a successful World Cup last year. After a long wait, we were also able to launch the inaugural Bengal Pro T20 League, which was a big success in first year itself. Speaking about the game, our senior men’s women’s and age group teams performed well in the national tournaments. I hope we will be able to do better in the forthcoming season as well,” Mr Ganguly said during his speech at the AGM.
Alongside CAB President Ganguly, CAB Vice President Amalendu Biswas, Hony Secretary Naresh Ojha, Hony Joint Secretary Debrabrata Das and Treasurer Prabir Chakraborty were also present for the meeting. Also present were former BCCI and CAB President Sourav Ganguly and former India cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
The Secretary’s report and Treasurer’s report were also accepted unanimously.
CAB President Snehashish Ganguly also thanked all affiliated units and district associations for smooth conduct of the games in the 2023-2024 season.
He also thanked the Police and Army for their support in all the matches throughout the year.
