ASSAM RIFLES ASSISTED CIVIL ADMINISTRATION IN CONDUCTING MEDICAL CAMP IN CHANDEL DISTRICT MANIPUR

Assam Rifles extended its support to the civil administration in organizing a medical camp at Joupi Aided Pre-Primary School in Chandel district on 18th October 2024. The one day medical camp aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the local populace, particularly those in remote areas with limited access to medical facilities.

 A dedicated medical team comprising 23 individuals, including six specialist doctors, participated in the camp. The team included experts from Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, ENT, Sonology, and two Medical Officers for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) and Ayush (for immunization).

 Assam Rifles also used the expertise of Nursing Assistants and ensured success of the smooth execution of the camp.

 The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with a total of 276 beneficiaries which included 117 women and 123 children.

 This initiative underscores Assam Rifles’ commitment to supporting the welfare of local communities, ensuring that vital healthcare services reach even the most remote regions. By working in close coordination with the civil administration, Assam Rifles continues to play a pivotal role in fostering community development and well-being.

ASSAM RIFLES COMMEMORATED INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR RURAL WOMEN IN MANIPUR

 Assam Rifles commemorated International Day for Rural Women in Shangshak, Manipur.

  Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to empowering rural women and promoting gender equality. The event, held at Shangshak, aimed to promote gender equality, provide a platform for rural women to share experiences and challenges, foster skill development/ entrepreneurship, and celebrate achievements of rural women. 20 women from rural villages in Kamjong and Ukhrul districts participated in the event.

 The event emphasized the importance of empowering rural women. A panel discussion on “Empowering Rural Women: Challenges and Opportunities” followed, featuring experts and rural women leaders. Skill development workshops on entrepreneurship, healthcare, and digital literacy were also conducted.

 The event recognized the vital role rural women play in shaping communities. Assam Rifles reaffirmed its pledge to support and enable them to reach their full potential. Rural women achievers from Ukhrul & Kamjong districts were felicitated.
