On 19 October 2024, Indian Army organized a medical camp at Hengjang village, Leimakhong. The event provided essential healthcare services & dental checkup along with minor dental surgeries to locals. A massive turnout of 415 residents with 180 being women, 143 children & 92 elderly was witnessed at the camp.
Dy GOC Red Sheild Division visited the Medical Camp and interacted with locals. In an attempt to empower the villagers, he distributed various health aids like blood pressure monitors, glucometers, walking sticks alongwith physiotherapy equipment to the subcentre at Leimakhong.
The drive featured a team of Indian Army medical officers, dental officer and nursing assistants offering health evaluations, consultations, and distribution of essential medicines along with health aids to the locals.
The drive marks the commitment of the Indian Army towards serving the community despite the ongoing disturbances.
