ASSAM RIFLES PUBLIC SCHOOL CONDUCTS COMPETITIONS AND PROVIDES HANDS ON LEARNING

On October 19, 2024, Assam Rifles Public School, Keithelmanbi, successfully conducted its Annual Science Exhibition and Best Out of Waste Competition, highlighting the creativity and resourcefulness of students from Classes I to XII.

The event was graced by the Deputy Inspector General, Assam Rifles, as the Chief Guest. He inspired the students to pursue their interests in science and environmental sustainability.

Students from Classes IV to XII showcased 33 working models, demonstrating their understanding across various scientific fields, including physics, chemistry, biology, and technology. The exhibits featured innovative models such as hydraulic pressure systems for elevators, renewable energy solutions with solar panels and wind turbines, water purification techniques using local resources, and demonstrations of chemical reactions, eco-friendly cleaning agents, and biological systems like the human digestive and respiratory systems. Other projects addressed the effects of deforestation, sustainable forestry, rainwater harvesting techniques, automated robots, and a hologram display.

For the younger students, the Best Out of Waste competition emphasized creativity and environmental awareness, with awards recognizing the most innovative and practical uses of recycled materials. The projects were evaluated on criteria such as creativity, innovation, practicality, and presentation. The Chief Guest also awarded ten NCC cadets with the “A” Certificate for their outstanding performance during the 2023-24 session.

In his address, the Chief Guest praised the students for their dedication and innovative projects. He urged them to continue their pursuits in science and technology while maintaining environmental responsibility. The event was a tremendous success, reaffirming the school’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability.

ASSAM RIFLES FELICITATES AGNIVEER IN MANIPUR

Assam Rifles, living up to its credo of “Friends of the North East People,” continues to motivate and assist the local youth from remote villages of Manipur to join the armed forces through various entry schemes. With dedicated efforts, Assam Rifles has successfully trained and inspired 125 youth to join the Indian Army through multiple recruitment channels.

In its ongoing endeavour, a felicitation program was held on 19 October 2024 at Headquarters Veng, Churachandpur District, for 49 candidates who successfully cleared the Agniveer Recruitment Rally 2024.

The program aims to further encourage youth to join the Armed Forces. An intensive eight-week training capsule was organized at various locations in Churachandpur district, targeting aspirants from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, remote villages, and internally displaced camps due to the ongoing conflict. The training covered candidate registration, written test preparation, and physical training. These selected candidates will commence their army training at various locations across India in the second week of October 2024.

THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE MEETING IN PROGRESS ON TUESDAY

Imphal, HQ IGAR (South) Official Language implementation committee meeting was held on Tuesday 15 Oct 2024 at Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), Mantripukhri, Imphal (Manipur).

In a press release, HQ IGAR (S) informed that 17 members attended the meeting, which was held under the Chairmanship of Major Mangesh Lahankar, Officiating GSO-1 (SD), HQ IGAR (S).

During the meeting various points were discussed for implementation of Official Language in the offices.

The Chairman emphasized upon the importance of use of Hindi Language in the Offices and requested all members to implement the policy issued by Government of India.

ASSAM RIFLES ENSURES SAFE PASSAGE FOR CITIZENS

In a continued display of dedication to community welfare, Assam Rifles extended vital support to the villagers of Kwatha. On 19 Oct 2024, Assam Rifles provided secure transportation to 16 residents, including school-going children and a senior citizen requiring urgent medical attention from Kwaktha to Pallel and back. The villagers were safely escorted in protected vehicles, with the patient receiving ambulance support, ensuring timely access to healthcare and education amidst ongoing challenges.

Since the onset of recent tensions, Assam Rifles has played a crucial role in safeguarding the community at Kwatha, providing a reassuring presence at all times. T Sanjoy Singh, village secretary of Kwatha praised Assam Rifles for its multifaceted assistance to the village. The initiative underscores unwavering commitment of Assam Rifles for ensuring welfare of the local population.
