In a bid to foster the spirit of sports and promote peace, prosperity, and communal harmony, the Assam Rifles organized a sports items distribution event today in Youngoubung village. This initiative is part of the ongoing Fit India movement aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle among the youth.
The event featured the donation of various sports items, including footballs, goal posts, nets, shoes, shin guards, jerseys, and shorts. To celebrate this occasion, a friendly football match was held between the Youngoubung Youth Club team and Assam Rifles personnel, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of approximately 400 villagers who came together to support the initiative.
This gathering not only fostered a sense of community but also encouraged local youth to engage in sports activities. The event concluded with a delightful hi-tea, where the excitement and gratitude from the villagers were palpable.
