GOC RED SHEILD DIVISION FLAGS OFF NATIONAL INTEGRATION TOUR

The National Integration Tour, consisting of 20 students (14 girls and 6 boys) and 2 teachers from Sacred Heart School, Yambem, Imphal East district belonging to the villages of Andro, Yaripok, Yambem, Changamdabi and Angtha was officially flagged off by Major General SS Kartikeya, Sena Medal, General Officer Commanding Red Shield Division, on November 2 from Koirengei, Manipur. The GOC, accompanied by the Chairperson of the FWO, Red Shield Division, interacted with the students and extended best wishes for their journey.

As part of Operation Sadbhavana, the tour will take the group to Delhi, Agra, and Lucknow, aiming to foster national unity and promote cultural understanding. Over ten days, the students will interact with the President of India and senior military dignitaries while experiencing the nation’s rich cultural heritage and visiting significant historical and educational sites. The group is scheduled to return to Imphal on November 12.

The Indian Army continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting national integration and empowering young minds through such multifaceted initiatives. This tour serves as a platform for students to engage with diverse cultures and strengthen their sense of belonging within the nation.
