ASSAM RIFLES EXTENDS VITAL HEALTHCARE SUPPORT IN CHANDEL AND THOUBAL DISTRICTS

Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), conducted a comprehensive medical camp at New Samtal village in Chandel district on November 4, 2024, as part of its on-going commitment to community outreach and healthcare accessibility. Medical staff provided consultations and essential medicines to 143 residents, including senior citizens, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children from New Samtal and neighbouring villages. This initiative has been widely appreciated by the local community, addressing critical healthcare needs in areas with limited medical facilities.
On the same day, Assam Rifles also delivered lifesaving medical assistance to a 14-year-old boy from Chandrakhong in Thoubal District, who had been bitten by a snake. The medical team swiftly assessed his condition and administered timely treatment, effectively stabilizing the young boy.
These healthcare initiatives underscore Assam Rifles’ readiness and dedication to public service across Manipur. Their proactive actions have been instrumental in promoting the well-being and safety of communities in the North East.
Through these efforts, Assam Rifles continues to strengthen its bond with local communities while ensuring access to essential healthcare services for those in need.
