Ex- Servicemen (ESM) Rally was organised by Brahmastra Corps at Camping Ground, Asansol, Paschim Bardhaman District (WB) on 17 November 2024. The rally was held to reach out to the veterans and war widows hailing from Birbhum & Burdhwan district (WB).
A total of 720 ESM participated in the ESM Rally, which was held in close coordination with the State and District Administration. The focus of the day was to reach out and connect with Ex-servicemen in order to extend meaningful welfare and to provide a platform for resolution of various problems faced by veterans. During the event 10 selected veterans and war widows were facilitated. Shri Sanjay Pal, Addl District Magistrate, West Bardhman was also present at the rally and addressed the audience.
10 Records Office counters were set up to resolve long outstanding pension anomalies of veterans. Military organizations like Army Welfare Placement Organization, VSK, ECHS, various State and Civil Welfare Agencies had established information counters and help desks to register and resolve various problems being faced by the veterans. CSD counter, tea, refreshments and lunch was also catered for the ESM and families.
