Assam Rifles organized a recruitment rally for enrolment in Territorial Army at Somsai in Ukhrul District. The rally was open to candidates from the districts of Kamjong, Ukhrul, Senapati, Kangpokpi, and Tamenglong, drawing over 2,000 eager young participants. The objective was to fill 225 vacancies for soldier general duty, clerks, and tradesmen positions in the Territorial Army.
The Recruitment Rally was conducted with strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a smooth and well-managed gathering despite large turnout. The rally commenced early morning at 0400h at the basketball ground in Somsai, where enthusiastic candidates participated in the selection process, demonstrating their physical and mental readiness to serve the nation. The assessment included a series of physical tests such as a 1.6 km run, chin-ups, a 9-feet ditch, and other endurance exercises, followed by thorough medical examinations and documentation.
The primary goal of the recruitment rally was to provide employment opportunities while inspiring local youth to join the armed forces. The response from the locals was overwhelmingly positive, with villagers praising the efforts of the security forces for addressing unemployment in the border areas and fostering a sense of pride and patriotism. Many young aspirants expressed their hopes of joining the esteemed armed forces, driven by a desire to serve the nation and support their families.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTED CLOSING CEREMONY FOR FIFTH PHASE OF PRE RECRUITMENT TRAINING CAPSULE YOUTHS OF UKHRUL AND KAMJONG DISTRICTS OF MANIPUR
As part of the continuous efforts by Assam Rifles to uplift the local community, the fifth phase of Pre Recruitment Training capsule was organised for the Local Youths of Ukhrul and Kamjong Districts at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district of Manipur from 10th October 2024 to 16 November 2024 by Assam Rifles.
20 local youths from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts of Manipur had attended the fifth phase of Pre Recruitment Training capsule which was conducted at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district of Manipur.
The attendees of Pre Recruitment Training capsule were provided with free of cost study materials required for the various competitive exams for enrollment to Security Forces. They were also provided messing and accommodation during the conduct of the Pre Recruitment Training capsule without any charges. The capsule was planned and executed to give equal weightage to both academic and physical training.
The local populace especially the youth thanked Assam Rifles for orgainsing such relevant and meaningful activities for their welfare. They promised to extend their wholehearted cooperation and support to the Security Forces in future. They also pledged that they will strive hard to get enrolled into the Security Forces.
*ASSAM RIFLES SAVES 130 CHILDREN FROM FOOD POISONING IN MOREH, TENGNOUPAL DISTRICT OF MANIPUR*
In a remarkable display of dedication and quick response, Assam Rifles saved the lives of 130 children (22 boys and 108 girls) on 17 November 2024, following a severe food poisoning outbreak at Eklavya School, Moreh, Tengnoupal District.
Alerted by the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Moreh, the Assam Rifles Medical Team immediately swung into action, rushing to the site with essential medicines and medical supplies.
Guided by the Assam Rifles Medical Officer and in coordination with the Tengnoupal Chief Medical Officer, the team worked tirelessly alongside PHC staff to stabilize the affected children.
Personnel from Moreh Battalion of Assam Rifles ensured seamless coordination and effective care. This joint effort by Assam Rifles and medical authorities resulted in the timely stabilization of all 130 young lives, turning a potential tragedy into a testament of hope and resolve.
