ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES ‘A DAY WITH COMPANY COMMANDER’ AT CHANGPOL, CHANDEL, MANIPUR
On 24 December 2024, Assam Rifles conducted an interactive event, “A Day with Company Commander,” at Changpol, Khengjoi Sub-Division, Chandel, Manipur, aimed at inspiring local children with values of patriotism, discipline, and community service. The event provided the children an opportunity to engage with the Company Commander and security personnel, learning about their duties, training, and sacrifices for national security.
The session included a demonstration of the forces’ capabilities, followed by a tour of the camp where the children viewed living quarters, training facilities, and equipment. The event concluded with the distribution of educational materials and gifts to the children.
This initiative successfully strengthened the bond between the security forces and the local community, fostering mutual respect and inspiring the next generation to become responsible citizens.
ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS WITH COMMUNITIES IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles organised vibrant Christmas celebrations across Manipur to spread goodwill and unity.
On 25 December 2024, Assam Rifles celebrated with pastors and students at the Assam Rifles Centre of Educational Excellence (ARCEE) in Somsai, Ukhrul District. The event featured prayers, dance performances, and a festive lunch, fostering unity among the community.
In approx 80 Border Villages of Chandel, Assam Rifles organized a special cake and sweets distribution drive to spread joy and celebrate the spirit of Christmas. This initiative comes as a heartfelt gesture to bring solace and hope to communities affected by recent ethnic conflicts in the region.
The event, conducted on the eve of Christmas, witnessed active participation from villagers of all ages, who expressed gratitude for the efforts of Assam Rifles in fostering peace and harmony. The distribution drive not only brought festive cheer but also reinforced the message of unity and togetherness amidst challenging times.
The initiative is part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing outreach programs to strengthen bonds with local communities and support them in overcoming adversities. Such gestures underscore the organization’s commitment to maintaining peace and contributing to the welfare of people living in remote and sensitive areas.
At Khudenthabi village, Assam Rifles celebrated Christmas by organising a community event to spread joy and goodwill among the local populace on 25 Dec 2024.
The Celebration included distribution of essential ration to families and a delightful breakfast for the villagers. 65 villagers including children took part in the event.
In Sajik Tampak, Chandel District, 138 participants, including 58 children, enjoyed a Christmas celebration with games, a dog show, and a weapons display, followed by a communal lunch.
Assam Rifles also celebrated Christmas with Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and villagers in Churachandpur on 24 and 25 December. Activities included cake cutting, gift distribution, and interactive games for children, emphasizing Assam Rifles’ humanitarian efforts and community spirit.
These events highlight Assam Rifles’ commitment to strengthening community ties and spreading festive cheer.
The Assam Rifles celebrated Christmas with enthusiasm and inclusiveness in Moreh, Tengnoupal District fostering the spirit of unity and goodwill.
The day began with a special service at the Unit Church, attended by 01 pastor and 10 civilians from Moreh. Prayers, carols, and a message of harmony marked the occasion, highlighting the essence of Christmas.
Extending the festive cheer, Assam Rifles visited Agape Children’s Home, where 23 children joined in a joyous cake-cutting ceremony. Sweets and laughter filled the air, spreading smiles among the children.
The celebrations continued at Jehovah Jireh Children’s Home with 30 children participating. A heartfelt Christmas song performed by the children dedicated to Assam Rifles added a memorable touch. Sweets and refreshments were distributed, creating cherished moments of joy.
