ASSAM RIFLES DISTRIBUTED SEWING MACHINES AND WATER STORAGE TANKS UNDER ASSAM RIFLES CIVIC ACTION PROGRAMME AT VILLAGE, L MOLNOI, CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT, MANIPUR

Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) distributed Ten sewing machines and Ten water storage tanks at village L Molnoi, in Churachandpur District on 28 December 2024 as part of Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme.

This gesture is a mark of fostering bond between locals and Assam Rifles, ongoing commitment to boost women empowerment to make a way for learning new skills to earn daily living and also provide for basic necessities of the locals in the violence affected areas. These
sewing machines will enable women to generate honourable income and gain financial independence. Further, it will not only increase employment opportunities but also strengthen economic conditions.

Assam Rifles also distributed much needed water storage tanks to the villagers to uplift their living conditions and will also enable them to establish sustainable water supply in far flung areas, which will be utilised for safe drinking water, thereby enabling a healthy lifestyle by addressing water scarcity and improving living standards, these water tanks and sewing machines contribute to long term rural development and women empowerment.

*ASSAM RIFLES FELICITATES NEWLY COMMISSIONED OFFICER FROM SHALLUK VILLAGE, CHANDEL DISTRICT*

Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), conducted a felicitation ceremony at Shalluk village to honor Assistant Commandant RNG Shungwar, a newly commissioned officer from the prestigious Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

Hailing from Shalluk village in Chakpikarong Sub Division, Assistant Commandant Shungwar was felicitated for his remarkable achievement in earning a commission from the ranks, bringing pride to the entire region. The ceremony, held at the COB Shalluk, included the presence of his proud family, who were also honored for their unwavering support and sacrifices in shaping his success.

The Commandant of the Battalion extended his heartfelt congratulations to the officer and wished him a bright future. Speaking at the event, Shalluk village Chief PY Samuel remarked, “Such events not only inspire the local youth but also encourage others to join the Security Forces of the nation.”

The event served as a beacon of inspiration for the community, highlighting the opportunities and achievements within the region.
