A Nation is united only when there is emotional integration amongst its people and not mere geographical integration. In its effort to bring about the much desired emotional integration of the people in this remote part of the country, Indian Army conducted a good will tour under OP Sadbhavana with an aim to give an exposure of Country’s rich heritage, culture and the way of life to the villagers of Arunachal.
The Indian Army, under Operation SADBHAVANA and the Vibrant Village Programme, has launched a spiritual tour for 22 senior villagers from West Kameng and Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. This initiative aims to foster cultural preservation, spiritual enlightenment, and national integration.
A Life Changing Journey
Flagged off on 10 January 2025, the tour offers participants, including village headmen and ex-servicemen, their first experience beyond their remote villages, fostering socio-cultural ties.
Exploring Heritage
The group will visit iconic spiritual sites, including the World Buddhist Centre, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Dalai Lama Temple, and Mahabodhi Temple, promoting cross-cultural understanding.
Fostering Unity:
The initiative highlights the Army’s role in connecting border communities with India’s rich heritage, strengthening national pride and integration.
