In yet another success in its crusade against smuggling activities, Assam Rifles, recovered Five Hongs of Heroin No 4 worth ₹ 39.75 Lakhs (Rupees Thirty Nine Lakhs Seventy Five Thousand) from General Area Crossing Point III (Laipian Kai), Zokhawthar, Champhai district and apprehended one woman (Zingengmawii, Age – 52 yrs D/o -(L)Thanhranga , R/o – Ramthar Veng, Lunglei, Mizoram) on January 25, 2025. The entire consignment and the woman was taken into custody by Police Department, Zokhawthar for further investigation and legal proceedings.
